Driverless Car Project in the Works, Says Wipro’s Premji

Founder and chairman of Wipro, Azim Premji said that Wipro is working with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) on a driverless car project. He said both parties are also working on the country’s first home-grown metal 3D printing machine.
A hybrid industry-academia collaboration unit called “Wipro IISc Research and Innovation Network” was recently set up by the two organizations that will push research and innovation in the product design and technology.
