Education sector is allocated 99,300crore: Budget 2020

The education sector of India is allocated Rs. 99,300 crore and 3000 crores for skills and development for the upcoming fiscal. Steps are going to be taken to entice external commercial borrowing and FDI in the education sector.

Government is also planning to launch a programme for urban local bodies to create opportunities for the internship to young engineers.

National police university and National Forensic University are put forward, which will allow a degree level full-fledged online education programme institution ranked in the top 100.

According to the sources, ‘Study in India programme’, IND-SAT to be held in Asia and African countries to benchmark foreign students who receive scholarships for studying in Indian higher education institutions.

Greater bridge courses to be designed for teachers, nurses, paramedical staff, and caregivers.
