Employers reminded to deduct income tax at 20% or higher if PAN or Aadhaar not given.
This document was distributed in the last week just before the financial year-end.
Though the employers try to be peculiar about collecting tax or deducting 20% from the income, it failed to do so they are to be charged Rs 10,000 as stated by the document circulated.
There is no TDS required if the income is below 2.5 lakh.
