Exports Merchants Grew 56% on Amazon India

Amazon India said that it recorded a 56% increase in the number of domestic sellers trading in the international markets which led to the hike in export sales of over 1 billion USD.
Country head Amit Agarwal said that as many as 140 million products were exported on Amazon’s app and website by local merchants. He added that the cumulated sales are projected to cross 5 billion USD in the next four years.
The Global Selling Program which allows for the sale of goods in overseas markets was launched by Amazon in 2015.
