Flipkart hires 23k employees amid pandemic

Flipkart has hired 23,000 individuals in last few months in the midst of the second wave of Covid pandemic, the startup said in a statement on Tuesday. The recruiting has been “in different limits across its production network, including delivery executives,” it said. “All fresh recruits will be covered with our medical care and healthcare initiatives to guarantee their wellbeing during these tough times,” said Hemant Badri, senior VP, production network at Flipkart.

“At Flipkart, our main concern is to address the issues of customers through a protected and powerful store network while guaranteeing the security of our representatives. The developing interest for e-commerce services across the nation as people remain inside to battle the virus has necessitated an increase of our supply chain, setting out large number of work open doors,” Badri added.
