India’s top eCommerce platform Flipkart said that it will offer a Hindi interface on its platform so that nearly 200 million customers can engage with online shopping activities in a more inclusive and comforting manner. The move could easily one of the best that the company has made so far as research shows that as many as 90% of new Internet users in the country speak their native language. In fact, it predicts that users that primarily speak Hindi and look for products and information online in the same language will outnumber English speakers by 2021.
