Flipkart raised USD 1.4 Billion

The cloud companies, and giants in their fields, Microsoft, eBay, and Tencent funded Indian Internet company, Flipkart in the biggest round of funding till date. After this round, Flipkart’s valuation has reached a total of USD 11.6 billion. While Flipkart has got funding from world’s premier companies, Tiger Global Management, Naspers Group, Accel Partners and DST Global have already been in the list of funders for Flipkart.

This valuation and level of funding is being considered as a landmark for the company, especially because this is an Indian company and marketplace and has become a giant in its league.

In past few years, Myntra, Jabong, PhoneMe and Ekart were also acquired by Flipkart. Flipkart is also in conversation with Snapdeal for acquisition.
