Foreign Investments by Indian Companies Doubled in March

The Foreign direct investments (FDI) made by Indian firms for their overseas ventures were doubled to $2.99 billion in March. Last year, the total value of FDI made by the Indian companies in their foreign subsidiaries was only 1.42 billion.

According to the RBI, the investments made by the Indian companies in March are way higher in comparison to the previous month i.e. February as well, which was about $867 million.

The FDI investments were in the form of equities worth $1.99 billion, loans of $742.60 worth million and issuance of guarantee worth $251.40 million.
