Former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan Raises Concerns for Global Economy

In a recent interview with CNBC, the ex-RBI governor warned of “policy uncertainty” for the global economy due to the rise of “new leaders” who have yet to prove that they are doing well.

Although Rajan didn’t explicitly mention India, he said that it is the first time in a long time that all the big players in the world economy are bringing their A-game, which is evident by how the trade’s picking up recently.

When asked about the possible risks for the world economy, Rajan said that there is a lot of uncertainty as nothing can be said at this point how the (US) administration is going to perform.
