Fuel Prices Stabilise Globally, but Rise in India

Though international crude oil prices stabilized on Monday, fuel prices within the country continue to soar. Having increased for a second consecutive day, prices in India have reached a 10 month high; this is even as Brent crude prices dropped to $60 per barrel.
The surge saw the highest increase in Delhi by 19 paise for petrol, with the lowest increase being in Chennai at 11 paise for diesel.
The prices are currently ranging from ₹74.61 to ₹80.21 for petrol with the highest in Mumbai, and ₹67.69 to ₹71.30 for diesel with the highest in Chennai.
