GDP Drop: P Chidambaram Takes a Jab at Modi, Says he Was Right About Demonetization

As the economy growth observed a decline recently, Congress leader P Chidambaram criticized the Modi’s demonetization move on Thursday. Pointing to the lowered 6.1 growth, which is the lowest in the last 2 years, Chidambaram said he was right about predicting that note-ban would affect the economy negatively.
One of the tweets from the Chidambaram’s Twitter handle said he predicted that demonetization will affect the economy growth by 1-1.5 % and rightfully so, GVA has dropped by 1.3%. Another tweet from the same handle said economy started going downhill in July 2016 and was further impacted by demonetization.
