GDP growth for fiscal 2020 at 5%

According to the Central Statistics Office (CSO), the GDP growth for fiscal 2020 is predicted to be at 5% which is less than the preceding year.

Annual economic growth slowed to 4.5 percent last July to September quarter.

This is said to be the weakest pace since 2013.

The economic landscape has deteriorated at a rapid pace in FY20.

A glance through the demand side suggests that with the exception of government expenditure all other demand drivers such as private consumption, investment, and net exports are down, stated by economic times.
