Getepay Onboards Cricketer Virendra Sehwag to Revolutionize Digital Payments

Indian fintech start-up Getepay has announced that veteran cricketer Virendra Sehwag is joining their mission to change digital payments in India.

Sehwag, famous for his powerful batting and smart game strategies, will help Getepay empower merchants across Bharat with affordable digital solutions.

Getepay has raised over $4 million from well-known investors, including Mahavir Pratap Sharma, Hyderabad Angels, ITI Growth Opportunities Fund, DBR Ventures LLP, and Yogesh Chaudhary. The company currently works with over 1.5 million merchants and more than 150 banks in nearly every state in India.

“I am thrilled to be onboard Getepay and be a part of their digital innovation journey. I am sure we will take this to maximum merchants in the coming days and enable cost-effective solutions for the merchants,” said Virendra Sehwag.

Looking ahead to 2025, Getepay plans to expand its payment and digital services to its existing merchant base and aims to reach 2.5 million merchants. The company also has plans to expand internationally, with advanced plans underway.

Sehwag’s addition to the team is expected to bring new energy and ideas to Getepay, helping the company grow and reach more merchants with their digital solutions. This partnership highlights Getepay’s commitment to revolutionizing digital payments in India and supporting merchants with effective and affordable services.
