Godrej consumer strengthening its e-commerce businesses

FMCG firm Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) is strengthening its e-commerce vertical as an independent business unit in India, in the wake of COVID-19 fueling far and wide speed increase in digital adoption, as per organization Chairperson and Managing Director Nisaba Godrej. The organization is using on information and technology, improving for local contexts and multiplying down on digitization and platforms like e-commerce to get the quick changes in consumer conduct achieved by the pandemic.

It is additionally launching digital native brands, exploring different avenues regarding premium specialty classifications and increasing its direct engagement with clients through direct-to-consumer (D2C) channels.

“Innovation and startup efforts in FMCG last mile delivery are changing the deals and appropriation scene. Ongoing changes in buyer conduct, particularly on digital, have opened up multiple opportunities to scale and transform how we work together,” Godrej wrote in her location to investors in the organization’s annual report for 2020-21.
