Government to Either Redevelop Parliament Building or Build New One by 2022

According to sources, the Monsoon Session of Parliament in 2022 will be held in a new building. They said that there will be a redevelopment of the Central Vista i.e. the 3-km stretch from the Rashtrapati Bhavan to the India Gate, and a project to build a composite complex for different ministries will also be launched soon.

Design and architecture firms from across the globe are invited for consultancy works and a request for proposal (RPF) has been floated for the “development or redevelopment of Parliament Building, Common Central Secretariat and Central Vista.”
