Government to Take Steps to Protect Privacy of Citizens: Suresh Prabhu

Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu said that the government will take measures to protect the privacy and ownership of data of the citizens. He said that it will use artificial intelligence in that endeavor and take corrective action wherever necessary.
Prabhu said that India is transmitting more data than China and the US combined and that the top six companies in the world are using this data for monetization. He also said that India is working on a regulatory framework that can help it govern the infrastructure of digital data.
