Govt. to Setup Chief Cybercrime Body to Check Online Frauds, Circulation of Objectionable Content

In light of the increasing online frauds and circulation of controversial contents on social media, etc. the Union Home Ministry is going to establish an apex coordination center. It has also asked the other states to set up similar centers of their own.
According to an official, the government has disbursed Rs. 83 crores for the setting up of the cyber forensic laboratory that will double as a training center for police officials in each state.
The main center, i.e., Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) will be set up in Delhi.
