GPay to roll out feature to ease digital payment experience
GPay said it will launch a speech-to-text feature that allows users to use voice as an input to add account numbers into the app to initiate a payment.

GPay, which competes with various platforms like PhonePe, Paytm, and Amazon, has also announced an industry first and a first for google internationally feature, wherein it will offer an extra option of selecting Hinglish as a preferred language on the platform.

GPay Vice President, Product management, Ambarish Kenge told PTI, “We’ve been on a mission to make money simple in general, the way we think about it is creating a lot of economic chance for everyone, whether its banks or our partners. We are very delighted with how the digital payment environment is doing in India and the role we have played directly as well as a catalyst to help users in India”.

He added that the organization is focused on innovation and bringing in the best of technology as a part of its efforts to make digital payments globally relevant and inclusive. With this addition, users will be able to easily navigate the app in their preferred language.
