GST Council Forms 18 Groups for Addressing Industry Concerns

As GST Council prepares for its 16th Meeting on Sunday, it has already formed 18 groups consisting of one officer each from the state and central governments to resolve the GST related concerns of the industry. These groups will interact and examine the issues raised by various stakeholders and also prepare guidance notes for different industries.
As for the Sunday meeting of the GST Council, it will be pivotal for the industry. Not only the council make the final changes in the model law, but also set the GST rate for the lottery, the only item pending.
