GSTN to Join Hands with Private Entities to Check Frauds

The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) is going to partner with private firms to prevent frauds and tax evasion under the GST regime. It has already invited bids from analytics companies for “360-degree” profiling of taxpayers to grow itself into a complete GST entity that not just collects taxes but also prevents tax evasion.
GSTN said that it has disallowed Infosys from bidding for the project as it would be a conflict of interest. This is because Infosys is the IT backbone of the GST portal.
