HDFC Bank to Convert 3 Lakh CSCs into Correspondents

To make the financial services more accessible in the rural areas and to push financial inclusion in India, private sector HDFC Bank has joined hands with the ministry of Electronics and Information Technology under which nearly 3 lakh Common Service Centers will be turned into its banking correspondents.

CSCs Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) will now offer HDFCs services in the rural areas and also function as Business Facilitators. Under this, they will help farmers, merchants, entrepreneurs, and women to take small loans from the bank.
