HDFC Bank’s Aditya Puri Exercises Stock Options Worth Rs. 57 Crore

As Aditya Puri, Managing Director, HDFC Bank observed his annual income rising to Rs. 10 crores in FY17 from Rs. 9.73 crore in FY16, he exercised his stock options worth Rs. 57 crore in the previous fiscal.

According to HDFC Bank’s annual report (2016-17), the total value of stock options exercised by Puri stood at Rs. 57.42 crores, which included several stock options garnered over the past many years but finally exercised during the last fiscal. This increase in stock options value and remuneration of the bank’s MD has to do with the increase in profits that grew more than 18% last fiscal.
