Heads of 11 PSBs Called by Parliamentary Panel in View of Massive Bad Loans

In light of the increasing bad loans and banking frauds, the top Executives of 11 Public Sector Banks (PSBs) have been summoned by a parliamentary committee for appraisal.

The heads of Central Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, IDBI Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, etc. will appear before the Standing Committee on Finance under the governance of Congress Leader M Veerappa. He is preparing a report on “Banking Sector in India- Issues, Challenges and the Way Forward, including Non- Performing Assets/ Stressed Assets in Banks/Financial Institutions”.
