Hiring activity improves in May

Overall hiring activity has shown some improvement with a marginal 1 percent month-on-month contraction recorded in May as against a decline of 14.95 percent in April, as indicated by a report. The job postings during May remained at 2,047 contrasted with 2,072 in April on Naukri.com platform, as per Naukri JobSpeak Index.
Hiring acitviy in April had declined by 14.95 percent contrasted with March.
Naukri JobSpeak is a month-to-month Index that ascertains and records employing movement dependent on the job postings on Naukri.com site. According to the most recent Naukri JobSpeak report, the IT-Software sector enrolled a 14 percent development in hiring in May contrasted with April.
“It is urging to see a lot lesser effect of the second rush of the pandemic hands on economy versus a year ago. Despite the fact that the hiring activity declined by 15% in April over March, we see hiring turning flat in May, signaling resilience and recuperation,” Naukri.com Chief Business Officer Pawan Goyal said.
