Household intake of groceries and home and personal care merchandise surged to a two-year excessive during the April-June quarter, according to a research firm, as purchasers stocked up on those products even as hunkering down in their homes because of COVID-19-related regulations.

The rapid-shifting purchaser goods market increased 4.3% in extent and greater than 8.5% with the aid of value for the duration of the zone, consistent with statistics from Kantar Worldpanel. Kantar’s numbers evaluation with records from marketplace researcher Nielsen, which confirmed the market, declined 18%.
