“Howdy Modi”: PM Modi May Sign Trade Deal with Donald Trump

Sources said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may sign a trade deal with US President Donald Trump at the United Nations General Assembly in New York by the end of the month. Such a deal would be seen as a victory for the US where the administration is having a hard time putting an end to the trade war with China.

Apart from India, Trump is expected to sign a trade deal with Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe next week to slash tariffs on Japanese farms.
