HSBC India Expands Footprint with Largest Branch in Bengaluru's Whitefield, Targets Thriving Tech Community

In a move to tap into the growing affluent customer base, HSBC India unveiled its largest branch in the country, situated in Whitefield, Bengaluru. The expansive branch, covering 8,300 square feet, marks a significant milestone for HSBC India as it strengthens its position as the leading international bank in the country.

Bengaluru South, now conveniently connected to Whitefield, boasts a per capita income of USD 11,305 (Rs 9,36,983), surpassing India’s per capita income by more than four times. This strategic location positions the new branch to cater to the financial needs of the thriving tech community in the heart of the technology hub.

HSBC India aims to support the wealth creation driven by entrepreneurialism and innovation. Sandeep Batra, the bank’s head of wealth and personal banking, highlighted the embrace of this spirit by reinforcing their presence. With India hosting the third-largest population of tech unicorns globally, HSBC banks 50 percent of the top 100, underscoring their commitment to the tech sector.

Whitefield, chosen for its vibrant atmosphere, will house an ultra-modern luxury branch offering extensive international connectivity, a range of products, bespoke wealth solutions, specialized relationship managers, and global private banking expertise.

The branch will provide comprehensive services, including banking transactions, wealth management solutions, international account opening assistance, lending services, and ATM facilities, contributing to HSBC’s renowned offerings and world-class services.
