India Can Become 2nd Largest Smartphone Market: Xiaomi

If the sales of smartphones in India continue to increase at the same pace, then India can become the second largest smartphone selling country in the world, Xiaomi India’s head of category and online sales Raghu Reddy said.
Reddy said that at the current rate of growth in smartphones sales, India is poised to become the second largest leader by overtaking the US, although China will continue to enjoy the number one position. He added that the highest growth is observed in the Rs. 10,000 – Rs. 20,000 category.
Smartphone sales in India increased by 10% in 2017 on a year-over-year basis.
