India Could Become Largest Milk Producer by 2026

According to a new report by OECD and the UN, India is projected to be the most populous country and the largest milk producer in the world by 2026. Plus, it will also be the main contributor to the increased wheat production globally.
The OECD-FAO Agricultural Outlook 2017-2026 estimates that the world population will increase to 8.2 billion from the current 7.3 billion in the next 10 years to which India and Africa will make a 56% contribution. The report also said that the India’ milk production will be almost tripled by then.
