India-Italy Trading Could Surpass $8.8 billion, PM Narendra Modi Says

While addressing the press this Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with visiting Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni said that India and Italy share strong ties. He added that trading between the two countries can go beyond the current $8.8 billion.
Modi said that tourism, infrastructure, and food processing are some of the major areas where both countries can benefit from cooperation. He also signed six memoranda of understanding (MoU) with Gentiloni across various areas to bolster the bilateral relations, including a joint declaration of cooperation for the railway sector safety, etc.
