India, Russia to Build Six Nuclear Power Plants in India

During the summit held by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin, both parties signed an agreement to set up 6 nuclear power plants in India. They also agreed to support India’s plan for a manned space mission.
Russia has played a huge role in India’s nuclear energy endeavors in the past. It built the largest nuclear power station in the country i.e. Kudankulam NPP whose construction completed in 2013.
At the summit, Putin also announced that both countries wish to increase the bilateral trade threefold to $30 billion by 2025.
