India to be the Largest Energy Growth Market by Mid-2020s

According to the annual energy outlook report by multinational oil and gas company BP, India is poised to surpassing China as the world’s largest energy growth market by mid-2020s. It said that the global energy demand is projected to increase by around 33% by 2040 mainly because of improvements in living standards, particularly in Asia. This will be largely met by natural gas which will overtake coal in fulfilling our energy requirements, it said.
