India to have 150 Million Online Banking Users by 2020: Study Says

According to a recent report compiled by social networking giant Facebook and The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), India is set to achieve 150 million online banking users by 2020, thanks to a large number of Digital India- Digital Economy initiatives.
Boston Consulting Group India’s Managing Director Amit Kumar said that the adoption of digital technology in the financial domain can help reduce the cost of servicing and cost of acquisition by 90%. This can increase the customer profitability and also the retail pool by $3 billion by 2020.
