India to Have 30 New Airports in 15 Months After 100th Launches in Sikkim
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is preparing to inaugurate India’s 100th Airport at Pakyong Airport in Sikkim, the country looks to get as many as 30 new airports in the next 15 months. 

An executive from the Airports Authority of India (AAI), AK Pathak said that the 30 airports will be in addition to the existing 100. He said that the airports will be built by AAI in association with the states, and each of them will require an investment ranging between ₹300 million to ₹800 million.
