India to host G20 summit in 2023

India which turned into earlier scheduled to host the G20 Summit in 2022 coinciding with the 75th anniversary of Indian independence will now host the Summit in 2023 and swapped the Group’s Presidency with Indonesia.

“We thank Saudi Arabia for website hosting a successful Riyadh Summit and its contribution to the G20 method. We sit up for our next meetings in Italy in 2021, Indonesia in 2022, India in 2023, and Brazil in 2024.” stated the Leaders Declaration at the end of the Summit on Sunday night.

ET has learned that the selection to switch with Indonesia changed taken after mutual consultations and concerns. Earlier, India had swapped its G20 Presidency with Italy. Originally India became scheduled to host the Summit in 2021 and Italy in 2022.

The G20 Summit 2020 beneath the Saudi Presidency concluded on Sunday with a purpose to create free, honest, predictable, and strong alternate and funding surroundings and committed to ensuring that worldwide transportation routes and delivery chains continue to be open, secure, and secure to make sure financial healing following the unfavorable impact of Covid-19.
