Indian E-Commerce Policy Reforms: Global Leaders Raise Concerns
A number of top global business leaders who recently attended the World Economic Forum Meeting raised concerns over the new rules that have been proposed by the Indian government for the e-commerce sector. An official said that the leaders are concerned that the new rules may lead to discrimination against those who are financially backing the online shopping portals as the proposed rules affect only the foreign players and not the domestic ones.

The Indian government has already implemented several changes in the e-commerce policies which have upset top players like Flipkart and Amazon. This is because now e-commerce companies cannot enter into an agreement for the exclusive sale of products, and the FDI norms form them have been tightened as well.
