India’s Largest Hydro-Electric Project Gets Green Signal from the Economic Affairs Committee

Arunachal Pradesh-based Dibang Multipurpose Project (MPP) is India’s largest hydro-electric project with an energy generation capacity of 2880 MW and estimated building cost of 28,080 crores. It recently got clearance from the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA).
Apart from the MPP project, the CCEA also approved several railways projects to the tune of 6,000 crores including the construction of a third railway line between Mughalsarai and Pragyaraj that will cover a distance of 150 km.
