India’s major lending banks to shutdown

India’s major lending banks are going to shut down its branches to protect the staff from coronavirus. Banks are exempted from 21 day lockdown as people rely on cash transactions in the country.
Sources said, “Only one Bank will be operating in 5 kilometers in the urban cities. Banks will be operating on alternate days”.
Senior Banker told Reuters, “Banks will operate for the rural areas where people are not familiar with the digital transactions”.
