India’s Online Marketplace to Grow to 1.2 Trillion USD in 3 Years

According to the report by the Retailers Association of India and Deloitte India, India’s online marketplace that currently stands at 200 billion USD is projected to grow to 1.2 trillion USD by 2021. This will make it the world’s third-largest consumer market.
The report said that India’s retail market will grow at a CAGR of 7.8% from 2021 and 2026 in spite of challenges like increasing crude oil rates and weakening Rupee. It also said that e-commerce is growing rapidly in the country, especially the m-commerce which grew from ₹200 billion in FY16 to ₹3,000 billion in FY18.
