Infosys to roll out new functions on income tax portal

Infosys alleviated concerns over the new income tax e-filing portal created by it during the 40th Annual General Meeting of the organization on Saturday. The IT major said that it is working to resolving the issues and right now has succeeded on some fronts.

Addressing shareholders questions on the matter, Infosys said it is deeply concerned about the inconvenience caused by technical glitches in the new income tax e-portal, and it is working to resolve every one of the issues at the earliest.

“Infosys is working to resolve the worries in the new income tax portal For the last week, a few of the technical glitches, which affected the performance and stability, have been tended to. Also, thus, we have noticed lakhs of remarkable every day clients in the portal,” said Infosys Chief Operating Officer Pravin Rao while reacting to questions during the AGM.

Responding to an investor’s inquiry, Rao educated that near one lakh tax returns have been filed so far on the portal.
