Instagram Launched a New Messaging App Called 'Threads'

Instagram has become a place to have normal conversations with friends throughout the day.

Before it was WhatsApp where we would message friends regularly about meeting up or having long conversations. But rather now people choose to message on Instagram for every little conversation.

Instagram now has launched a messaging app called ‘Threads’ just for close friends. This works with people only on the Close Friends list and lets you control whom you can add on the list.

It also helps in sharing photos lightning fast with just two taps.

The main reason Instagram built the Threads messaging app is stated by Robert  Stein, Director of product. He explained, “Over the last few years, we’ve introduced several new ways to share visually on Instagram and connect with people you care about – from sharing everyday moments on Stories to visual message on Direct. But for your smaller circle of friends, we saw the need to stay connected throughout the day, so you can communicate what you’re doing and how you’re feeling through photos and videos. That’s why we built Threads, a new way to message with close friends in a dedicated, private space.”

It has already started rolling out around the globe and may reach to all of its users soon.
