IT Systems Not Ready for GST: Suvidha Providers

Even as there are just three weeks left for the GST roll out, the Good and Services Tax Suvidha Providers, which are a pivotal link between the government and the taxable individuals, said that the IT systems are not ready yet.
According to Tejas Goenka, Executive Director, Tally Solutions, there are still many GST rules yet to be finalized and until that happens the GST Suvidha Providers (GSPs) can’t be completely ready.
West Bengal Finance Minister Amit Mitra has also expressed concerns over GST’s IT usability. He said that since the GST regime is dependent on just one IT system and get support from just 34 GSPs, it’s natural to wonder if that’s enough.
