J&K Will Rollout GST in a Few Days: Piyush Goyal

Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal said that Jammu and Kashmir is the only state to keep itself out of the GST regime. However, he added, that it will launch the new taxation system in the next few days.
J&K Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu said that the state is likely to approve the legislation for GST by July 6. This is when traders in Srinagar are protesting against GST, citing that the indirect tax regime will disrupt the fiscal autonomy of the state. However, Goyal said that such protests are often motivated by politics.
