KKR buys stake for ₹5,550 crore in Reliance retail

Reliance Industries Limited and Reliance Retail Ventures Limited declared that worldwide investment firm KKR will put ₹5,550 crores into Reliance Retail, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries. This venture esteems Reliance Retail at a pre-cash value estimation of ₹ 4.21 lakh crore. KKR’s venture will convert into a 1.28% value stake in RRVL on a completely diluted basis.

This is the second deal by Reliance Retail in about fourteen days. Prior this month, private value giant Silver Lake Partners had said that it will put ₹7,500 crores in Reliance Retail for a 1.75% stake.

This denotes the second speculation by KKR in a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, following a ₹ 11,367 crore interest in Jio Platforms reported recently. Established in 1976, KKR has $222 billion in resources under administration as of June 30, 2020.

Reliance Retail guarantees that the organization sees around 640 million footfalls over its almost 12,000 stores cross country.
