Maharashtra to Release Fintech Policy, Says Devendra Fadnavis

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the state is planning to issue an official Fintech policy during between February 18 and 20 to help it become a major fintech hub and offer a healthy atmosphere for startups in the fintech industry to grow and flourish.

Fadnavis, who was at the World Economic Forum in Davos, said that the state government plans to support around 5,000 startups in their development, create 2.5 lakh jobs, and bring in an investment of Rs. 5,000 crores in the Fintech domain. He also said that the government has already set up a committee to draft the policy guidelines.
