Make it India: ₹25,000 cr Worth of Tenders Cancelled/Modified to Push Initiative

According to a government official, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has either canceled or modified ₹25,000 crores worth of government orders to support “Make in India” products.

The government launched “Make in India” initiative in 2017 to encourage the manufacturing and production of goods and services in the country and to help with the generation of new jobs.
