Mamta Banerjee Displeased, Opts Out of Ayushman Bharat Scheme
Accusing PM Narendra Modi of using the national healthcare scheme Ayushman Bharat as a political tool, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee has pulled her state out of the scheme. Her party Trinamool Congress (TMC) has sent an official letter to the Center regarding the same.

Ms.Banerjee, who was recently speaking at an event said that PM Narendra Modi is sending letters bearing his photograph to households across West Bengal making “tall claims” just to take credit. She said that her state won’t bear the 40% of the financial burden of the scheme and that the NDA government should bear it all itself.
