Mauritius is the Biggest Source of FDI in India: RBI

India’s central bank RBI said that Mauritius brings the largest amount of foreign direct investments (FDI) in India, followed by the US and the UK. This information was released in the Annual Census on Foreign Liabilities and Assets of Indian Companies.

About 18,667 companies had participated in the census, out of which 17,020 showed FDI in their balance sheet, with Mauritius making for a little more than 20% of the all the FDI in India. In addition to that, Singapore was found to be the major ODI destination followed by Netherlands and Mauritius.
