Maximum number of start-ups recognized in March
Department for promotion of industry and internal trade (DPIIT) has acknowledged 28,979 start-ups in India in March. 
 
Maximum number of start-ups are seen in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana etc. Under start-up India programme start-ups will get tax and non-tax benefits.
 

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said in a written reply at Lok Sabha, “There is a huge increase in total number of employments in March by DPIIT recognised start-ups”.
