More than 18,000 ATMs Yet to be Recalibrated by SBI
An RTI query has revealed that India’s largest public sector lender, State Bank of India (SBI), is yet to recalibrate around 18,135 ATMs across the country for new notes that were issued by the central bank after demonetization. 

Chandrashekhar Gaud, who is an RTI activist from Madhya Pradesh had raised an RTI query asking the SBI to reveal how many ATMs it has recalibrated to support the new currency notes of INR 200, INR 500 and INR 2000 denomination. In response to the same, the lender said that out of 59,521 ATMs across the country, 41,386 have been recalibrated which incurred a cost of Rs. 22.50 crores.
